"I had always believed what killed step in bindings before was not the crappy performance (which they had) but their lack of universality. You can take any ski boot and put it into any ski binding with adjustment. You can take any snowboard boot and put it into any strap in snowboard binding, too. Unless Burton plans to license the technology to other companies, I don't see this coming back in full force. Plus, I've heard they're super expensive!"
